Qinglong Cao

About Me

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the joint program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo, advised by Prof. Yuntian Chen (in the group of Prof. Dongxiao Zhang, guided by Prof. Shiyi Chen) and Prof. Xiaokang Yang. I also collaborate closely with Prof. Chao Ma.

I received my B.E. and M.S. degrees from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2019 and 2022, supervised by Prof. Junwei Han and Prof. Xiwen Yao.

My research focuses on data-limited and domain-aware visual learning — how prior knowledge, task structure, and foundation models can be systematically integrated to build generalizable and trustworthy vision systems under limited supervision. I work on few-shot & open-vocabulary segmentation, prompt learning, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT), with applications in remote sensing, medical imaging, and AI for Science.
